Help Dad Grill the Perfect Steak...and Become More Adventurous
WATERLOO, ON, June 17 /CNW/ - According to new research from Broil King, steak is still dad's favourite on Father's Day. Broil King's survey of grilling aficionados across Canada revealed that 75 per cent of respondents indicated their dad would prefer steak on Father's Day well ahead of chicken, ribs, lamb, or seafood.
Broil King's Father's Day Grilling survey found that even though almost 50 per cent of dads planned to relax this Sunday, two-thirds of the respondents would still grill for their families instead of letting someone else get behind the Q.
In addition, Broil King found that Canadians don't score high when it comes to being creative on the grill. The survey found that nearly 60 per cent considered their dads 'traditionalists' who stick to what they know best: hotdogs, hamburgers and steaks. Only 22 per cent of respondents classified their dads as 'adventurers', not afraid to try new things, from grilling breakfast to fruits and vegetables on the barbecue. In fact, when asked about the most creative meal they've prepared on a grill, 80 per cent replied with fish, followed by moose at 13 per cent and duck at 8 per cent.
"This Father's Day, you can help dad create savoury steaks at home, with just the right combination of grill marks, flavour and tenderness," said Jason Radford, Brand Manager of Broil King.
