Bromont's Vision Bringing Quality Jobs to Lindsay
WOODBRIDGE, ON, Sept. 20, 2012 /CNW/ - In Ontario's small town Lindsay, Bromont Homes' conceptual Master Plan for their Country Club community is fast becoming the springboard for growth by attracting homeowners, businesses and global industries to the area.
"Bromont is out to build sustainable communities." says Saverio Montemarano, president of Bromont Homes. Without a doubt, his visionary approach is working. Bromont is building a sustainable community with accessibly priced housing and local amenities, attracting global business and creating quality jobs.
For over 30 years the Montemarano Family have been principals at both Melody Homes and Bromont Homes where they have brought their passion for superior craftsmanship, innovative design and outstanding customer service to every aspect of the home building industry. Saverio, along with his sons, are true to their family business that honours the old-school values of a job well done, they have built thousands of high quality homes in superb communities throughout the GTA, including Grand Valley, Scarborough, Bowmanville, Woodbridge, Brampton, Whitby, Peterborough and now their latest offering, The Country Club in Lindsay.
"We are committed to helping build the future of what we consider to be the best lifestyle available anywhere in Central and Southern Ontario," says Montemarano. "We expect to draw the attention of nature lovers who recognize the Kawartha's are the affordable answer to life outside the GTA outskirts. We're closer to the eastern GTA than Collingwood and Barrie, closer than the Muskokas - at half the price - and just 35 minutes to the 401. The just-announced 407 extension and the promised train link will add enormously to that appeal as well. Lindsay is definitely on the go and this is just the beginning of more to come!"
Saverio knows the future of housing, up or out, condo or country, and he chose country, but added a twist. He's out to create quality jobs for his homebuyers, by conceptualizing the overall plan for bringing together all the elements necessary for sustainable communities in Ontario.
It is this type of forward thinking that is attracting some globally recognized businesses to the opportunity to build in Lindsay, bringing a variety of well-paying jobs to the area. Pivotal Therapeutics is the first to announce their plans to move to Lindsay and to be part of the Country Club Community and the overall Conceptual Master Plan.
Pivotal Therapeutics Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company with a focus on cardiovascular disease and overall health, is in the planning stages for an approx. 40,000 sq.ft. hi-tech research and manufacturing facility in Lindsay, Ontario. Scheduled for completion in 2014, the company will employ 75 hi-tech jobs growing to over 150 as the need for qualified jobs arise.
"Lindsay is the ideal place for growth and the opportunity" said Dr. Jackowksi, CSO at Pivotal, "to work on Canadian soil is a big plus for us. Lindsay is ideally located with close proximity to all the major GTA hubs and we wanted to find a location for our operations that our employees will want to live, work and play."
The move to Lindsay will not only allow for Pivotal to manufacture, package and distribute from a Canadian location, it will allow for future expansion into other markets, offering services of contract pharmaceutical services for other pharmaceutical products, as well as contract Research & Development, ensuring that the Canadian market is getting a truly Canadian made product, not only from Pivotal, but from other companies that see the value of a Canadian operation.
"Saverio is not just your everyday developer that comes to a community and builds, then moves on," said Eugene Bortoluzzi, CEO of Pivotal Therapeutics "he has a conscience, he has a vision, he knows what he wants to develop and he puts the time and effort into making it happen. We don't want to have our operations set in a bedroom community where people commute everyday, Lindsay not only provides the ideal location, it provides the lifestyle that we want our employees to enjoy."
Bromont Homes has seen the need for other local amenities that will complete the Conceptual Master Plan. Such amenities are planned to consist of a hotel, training centre, business center, cinema, adult lifestyle community, retail outlets and of course, the Lindsay Golf & Country Club in the centre of it all, providing a place to live, work and play.
Bromont Homes is currently offering a collection of homes designed exclusively for The Country Club. 50', 40', and 32' detached homes and townhomes provide a balance of historic character and small town charm, matched with thoroughly modern features. From two-storey and bungalow designs, the 130 lots range from wide townhomes starting amazingly under $200,000 to 32ft, 40ft and 50ft lots priced in the $250,000 to $350,000 range or slightly higher depending on lot locations.
The Country Club presentation centre is located off HWY 35 and 7 at the corner of Lindsay Street and Logie Street.
