BROSSARD, QC, May 23, 2019 /CNW Telbec/ - Smart, digital and innovative, the City of Brossard launches today its new website, one of the flagship projects of a digital revolution already well underway with the bciti platform. Initially launched in a beta version, the new brossard.ca site will give residents a chance to try out the redesigned interface over the next few weeks and provide their comments to the City.
Still located at www.brossard.ca, the site has been revamped with and for our residents. Ergonomics, customization, interactivity, online services… Discover innovation on a human scale. Discover the new brossard.ca!
"With this new website, Brossard is entering an era of customization. This new interface, configurable based on the user's preferences, will bring the city closer to its residents, with the goal of continuously serving them better," pointed out Doreen Assaad, Mayor of Brossard.
Easier to use
From the outset, development of Brossard's new digital platform had to be ergonomic and allow residents to quickly and effectively access the information they sought. Among other things, a more powerful search engine accompanies visitors throughout their navigation.
The home page and tree menu have also been redesigned and reorganized, thus providing access to the most popular pages and answers to the frequently asked questions with a single click.
More interactive
You no longer need to switch back and forth between bciti and the City's website. Everything is now located in just one place, at your fingertips! You can now login to your bciti account at brossard.ca and access all our services: make requests to the City with or without photos, make an appointment with Services Brossard, obtain forms online, take part in public consultations, receive notices and alerts, and more.
In addition, a new interactive map allows you to locate any attraction, service or point of interest in the City, including parks, bicycle paths, sports fields and more. Explore and discover your city without leaving the comfort of your home!
More personalized
The most innovative new feature is no doubt the customization of the site based on each user's information needs and interests. Far from a static site, the new City website will adapt to the needs and interests that each user defines after logging in. This means each visitor will have a unique and varied experience with personalized content such as:
- Home page information tailored to your needs;
- A customized agenda based on your interests;
- Collection schedules for your own neighbourhood.
This innovative aspect of content customization based on user preferences is the basis for the "Chacun son brossard.ca" publicity campaign which has been visible around the city in the past few weeks.
More features
One key feature of the new brossard.ca is the expanded list of services offered. You can obtain a permit online to install a shed, buy a tag for your pet, look up your home's evaluation, enter your own water meter reading, reserve a book from the library or a place in an activity, and more. Our new site will save you time and make your life easier!
A new newsletter beginning in June
The City of Brossard will launch its new newsletter in June. Customizable according to your interests, you can receive the information most useful to you each month, like not-to-be-missed events or the collections and public works in progress in your neighbourhood.
In order to take better care of our environment while providing information above and beyond our digital offerings, Brossard's Ma Ville magazine will henceforth be published every two months.
You may subscribe to the new digital newsletter today at www.brossard.ca.
