BSR Named as One of Arkansas's Best Places to Work in 2018
LITTLE ROCK and TORONTO, July 26, 2018 /CNW/ - For the second straight year BSR (TSX: HOM.U) has been named as one of the Best Places to work in Arkansas by Arkansas Business and the Best Companies Group. The Best Places to Work distinction was designed to identify and honor the best employers in Arkansas, benefiting the state's economy, workforce and businesses. Companies from across the state were considered through a two-part process. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics, while the second consisted of an anonymous internal survey to measure the employee experience.
"Making the best places to work list for the second straight year is a huge honor for BSR," said CEO John Bailey. "When you combine this with our recent IPO, it has been a remarkable year so far in the history of our company. We never want to lose sight of the fact that our employees are the driving force behind each of these accomplishments. Together we have built a strong company culture based on our values of respect, integrity, service, teamwork, and community. This is the foundation of our current and future growth."
The 2018 Best Places to Work distinction comes on the heels of BSR's successful IPO on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) on May 18th of this year. Now a publicly traded REIT, BSR is listed on the TSX under the symbol HOM.U. BSR is the newest publicly traded company in the state of Arkansas. In June BSR continued its growth trajectory by acquiring Brandon Place Apartments, a 200 unit garden-style residential community in Oklahoma City, OK for 23.4 million dollars.
