Bud Light Villa Paradizo presented by Toyota set to energize Crescent St. for a third year with popular EDM festival Français
MONTREAL, Sept. 2, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - Following two previous editions which each time drew more than 100,000 spectators at what is the only free EDM (electronic dance music) concert in Canada, Crescent Street is getting pumped up by the return of the anticipated Bud Light Villa Paradizo presented by Toyota festival on September 9 and 10.
This one-of-a-kind open-air free festival will take over Crescent St., between de Maisonneuve and Ste-Catherine streets, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m September the 9th and 10th. On both days, local DJs and international artists will take to the stage to transform the downtown street in one huge open air dance floor.
To complement the music experience, festival goers will also have the chance to visit various kiosks and sponsor activations such as Toyota, who will have a Prius and a Yaris on site which will be artistically painted by an artist from the A Shop. Festival goers will also have the opportunity to sample two of this summer's run-away hits, the Palm Bay Tropix family of products and Budweiser Prohibition Brew, a non-alcoholic beer.
An impressive list of headliners known the world over will be supported by local artist every day. Local DJ artists will warm up the crowd while international artists will take the stage to cap-off both days with their performance. Friday's action on the stage will conclude with a 90 minute performance from 9:30 p.m. till 11 p.m. by one of the most influential and popular DJ/producer in dance music today, Sander Van Doorn. On the EDM radar since 2004, he has been spitting hits at an incredible rate with "Koko" and "Love is darkness" as probably his biggest international hits. The Friday evening crowd will have been warmed up as of 6 p.m. by Canadian DJ Bynon, followed at 7:30 p.m. by Swedish DJ producer Garmiani and at 8:30 p.m., Brazilian sensation FTampa. Friday day time action will begin at 11 a.m. with the winner of the Villa Paradizo DJ contest, CastNowski giving him the opportunity to meet world renowned artist and perform in front of an outdoor crowd. His performance will be followed with non-stop spinning by Quebec artists Mark & Silvester, Étienne Ozborne, Kayliox, David A and Seibaz.
Day Two of the Bud Light Villa Paradizo presented by Toyota will resume at 11 a.m. on Saturday with 10 Dj performers from Montreal, Quebec City and Ottawa that will entertain the day-time spectators on Crescent Street. Darryl Masih, Flight 57, KHAOS, Spaz, Tizi and Muren & Random will deliver their amazing talents and energy until Montreal DJ Domeno, spokesperson for Villa Paradizo, takes over at 6 p.m. to initiate the electric dance frenzy. He will be followed by Dutch duo Chocolate Puma at 7:30 p.m. and German music master Thomas Gold at 8:30 p.m.. The festival will conclude with the performance of the Swedish duo Cazzette from 9:30 p.m. till 11 p.m.. All five performers are among the most recognized names in EDM and have had countless singles and EP released, confirming them as EDM headliners.
