Building and development industry congratulates Ontario Liberals

GREATER TORONTO, June 13, 2014 /CNW/ - The Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) would like to congratulate Kathleen Wynne and the Liberal Party on their election victory.

"On behalf of our membership, we look forward to continuing our work with the Liberal government to build quality, complete communities that people across the GTA can afford to purchase," said BILD president and CEO Bryan Tuckey.

The land development, home-building and professional renovation industry is the major engine of economic growth in the GTA and the province of Ontario.

BILD members will continue to work with their government partners on successfully implementing the Growth Plan by meeting intensification goals, preserving the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB) and amending the Ontario Building Code to allow for six-storey wood-frame construction.

With more than 1,400 members, BILD, formed through the merger of the Greater Toronto Home Builders' Association and Urban Development Institute/Ontario, is the voice of the land development, home-building and professional renovation industry in the Greater Toronto Area.  BILD is proudly affiliated with the Ontario and Canadian Home Builders' Associations.
