Franklin Templeton Investments Announces Approval of Mutual Fund Mergers in Canada
TORONTO, Aug. 5, 2016 /CNW/ - Franklin Templeton Investments Corp. today announced that investors have approved the proposed mergers for two Franklin Bissett funds and one Templeton fund, at special meetings of investors held today, August 5, 2016, in Toronto.
As such, these fund mergers will occur on or around August 12, 2016:

Investors in the terminating funds will automatically have their holdings transferred to the continuing fund on a series-by-series, dollar-for-dollar basis after close of business on August 12, 2016, except that investors in Series R and S securities of Franklin Bissett Strategic Income Corporate Class will receive Series O and F securities, respectively, of the applicable continuing fund. Any investor who wishes to switch to a different fund or redeem their holdings ahead of this transfer, will need to submit this request before close of business on August 11, 2016.
