MISSISSAUGA, ON, Dec. 3, 2018 /CNW/ - Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) posted another impressive month — this time its best November ever — as the brand moves closer to its seventh straight annual sales record.
Sales for the month finished at 4,995 units, a 4.8 per cent increase compared to the same month last year, helping SCI achieve yet another monthly sales record. With 11 months in the books, the brand also registered record year-to-date sales as it chases another year of record sales. The 54,072 units sold through November represents a 6.7 per cent increase compared to the same period last year.
"Our 40th anniversary year continues to be a big one in more ways than one," said SCI president, chairman and CEO Yasushi Enami. "With another month of record sales, more Canadians are recognizing how perfectly suited Subaru vehicles are for life in Canada."
The redesigned 2019 Forester continued as sales leader for SCI in its second full month of sales, finishing with 1,409 units retailed, a 27.5 per cent increase over the same month last year, for the SUV's best November on record. Not far behind was the city-sized Crosstrek, with 1,216 units of the subcompact sport utility sold last month. Both Forester and Crosstrek also posted record year-to-date sales through November.
Regionally, Ontario, Quebec and Western Canada posted their best November results on record, while the Atlantic outpaced last November. Ontario led the way, besting last November by 9.9 per cent, while Quebec and Western regions were up 2.6 per cent and 1.6 per cent, respectively. Atlantic was up 0.7 per cent.
