Dr. Martine Rothblattt: The boundary pusher
One of the co-founders of Sirius XM, Dr. Martine Rothblatt moved into biotech after her daughter was diagnosed with pulmonary arterial hypertension at the age of 5. She not only developed a successful treatment, thus saving her daughter and many others' lives, but she also put the drug on the market where it generates nearly $1.5 billion in revenue each year. Dr. Rothblatt founded United Therapeutics Corporation in 1996, where she still occupies the role of CEO. As a transgender woman, she also led the first call to create international transgender health standards and recently authored books on xenotransplantation (Your Life or Mine), cyberethics (Virtually Human) and non-binary gender identity (Transgender to Transhuman).
Alicia Tillman: The brand champion
Named one of the Forbes's top 50 in "The World's Most Influential CMOs" report in 2018, SAP's Alicia Tillman is an award-winning strategic marketing executive at the forefront of championing brand purpose. The B2B marketing specialist started the Women in Leadership program at SAP Ariba, building a community of over 3,000 women across the tech industry and providing coaching in areas such as personal branding and executive presence. Alicia also launched the first-ever business travel industry forum in China, created the first social media platform for American Express Business Travel and developed the industry's first customer loyalty product that uses gamification.
