LONDON, ON, Dec. 6 /CNW/ - Vehicles have been sliding off the roads and highways all day due to snow squalls and whiteout conditions in the London area.
CAA South Central Ontario (CAA SCO) continues to service high priority calls -those drivers who are stranded out in the cold weather and snowy conditions.
London police are urging motorists to stay off the roads and highways in the region as up to 30 cm of snow is expected to fall Monday night and into Tuesday morning.
CAA SCO is asking members in London and the surrounding area to be patient over the next 12 to 24 hours as wait times will be longer than normal.
Meanwhile, members who are safe at home and calling for service are being advised that the auto club is responding to stranded drivers first.
CAA South Central Ontario is a not-for-profit auto club offering insurance, travel, automotive care and roadside services. There are more than 1.8 million CAA members in South Central Ontario and 5 million members in Canada. We're more than Roadside Assistance. We're Life-side Assistance. Visit www.caasco.com.
