HUNTSVILLE, ON, Nov. 26 /CNW/ - Vehicles have been sliding off the roads and highways all day due to snow squalls and whiteout conditions are becoming more prevalent in Huntsville.
CAA South Central Ontario (CAA SCO) continues to service high priority calls - those drivers who are stranded out in the cold weather and snowy conditions - when the weather and the OPP permit.
Ontario Provincial Police officers have closed down roads and highways in Huntsville and are urging residents to stay off the roads when and if possible.
CAA SCO is asking members in Huntsville and the surrounding area to be patient over the next 12 to 24 hours as wait times may be longer than normal.
CAA SCO is contacting those members who are waiting with regular updates. Meanwhile, members who are safe at home and calling for service are being advised that the auto club is responding to stranded drivers first.
