THORNHILL, ON, Feb. 14, 2013 /CNW/ - Thought about making the switch to an electric vehicle but you suffer from range anxiety or have concerns about costs and maintenance? Why not visit the Eco-Drive Showcase at the Canadian International AutoShow, February 15-24.
The showcase will include the next generation of automobiles and provide visitors with information to make well-informed, environmentally-friendly decisions regarding their driving habits. For the second year in a row, CAA South Central Ontario (CAA SCO) is the title sponsor of the Eco-Drive Showcase and this year, CAA members can save 25 percent on admission to the AutoShow.
Over the course of the 10-day show, CAA SCO's Autogreen Nissan Leaf will be on display. The fully electric, zero emissions vehicle is the newest addition to our corporate fleet and is driven by employees to events, conferences and off-site meetings. CAA also installed an EV charging station at our Thornhill head office, which is free to the public.
"The goal is to demonstrate our commitment to the environment, to new vehicle technology, and to learn and share our experiences," said Teresa Di Felice, Director of Government and Community Relations, CAA SCO.
Our Autogreen program, an educational and action-orientated program, encourages members to make simple changes to help reduce their carbon footprint.
