Three giants of mortgage industry to be honoured

TORONTO , Oct. 13 /CNW/ - The Canadian Association of Accredited Mortgage Professionals (CAAMP) will host the 2009 Canadian Mortgage Conference and Expo, Blueprint for the Future in Toronto from Sunday, November 22 to Tuesday, November 24 . The premiere event takes place at a time when the mortgage industry is enjoying a healthy rebound.

The conference kicks off with the Mortgage Hall of Fame and Awards Night, honouring pioneers of the mortgage finance industry. On Sunday, November 22 , John Donald , AMP, Chairman of Five Fathom Partners Inc., Gerald Soloway , AMP, CEO of Home Capital Group, and John Webster , President and CEO of Scotia Mortgage Corporation, will be inducted into the Mortgage Hall of Fame.

The national conference boasts a stellar line up of speakers, including leading economist Benjamin Tal of CIBC World Markets, CNBC contributor Kelley Keehn , entrepreneur, philanthropist and Dragons' Den star Brett Wilson , and Steven D. Levitt, author of the best-selling book Freakonomics. Keynote addresses, industry panels and conference sessions will cover a range of mortgage issues and trends.
