Caesars Windsor achieves independent Responsible Gambling Accreditation

WINDSOR, ON, July 18, 2012 /CNW/ - Caesars Windsor is proud to announce that it has achieved responsible gambling accreditation through RG Check, a new voluntary program created by the Responsible Gambling Council (RGC) that offers gaming companies the opportunity to gain an independent assessment of the quality of their responsible gambling program.

We are honoured to have received this accreditation which will assist us in maintaining this focus and commitment to responsible gambling."

Over the past year, the content, quality and breadth of the Caesars Windsor responsible gambling program was measured against RGC's Responsible Gambling Index. This index has eight core responsible gambling standards that include: corporate policies, self-exclusion, advertising and promotion, informed decision making, assisting patrons who may have problems with gambling, access to money, venue and game features, and employee training.

RG Check staff collected information, reviewed policies, undertook staff and patron surveys and made on-site visits. Once the review was completed, a report was created and submitted to an independent Accreditation Board, which made the final determination whether or not to approve accreditation. "We are impressed with the commitment Caesars Windsor has demonstrated to this process and the outstanding co-operation we received from the casino officials throughout the process", said Dr. Jon Kelly, CEO, Responsible Gambling Council.

Caesars Windsor is the first gaming venue to achieve this distinct accreditation.

RGC Technical Briefing: Based on interest, members of the RGC will also be available by Teleconference Briefing. This briefing is available for media to learn the details of the Responsible Gambling Index (the basis for RG Check evaluation) and the process for how venues are researched and evaluated for potential accreditation.

Note: Q and A will be limited to the process and background but not the details specific to the Caesars Windsor RG Check accreditation.
