CAJ Awards deadline is today!
OTTAWA, Feb. 8, 2012 /CNW/ - The Canadian Association of Journalists reminds journalists today is the deadline for entries to the 2011 CAJ Awards program.
All entries must be postmarked Feb. 8 so they can arrive in time for sorting and distribution to judges and allow judges the necessary time to review entries so finalists can be announced by late March or early April. Full information on the CAJ Awards program, including all entry forms, can be found on the CAJ website.
The program features two new awards this year in partnership with two respected organizations: jhr and CWA Canada with its largest local, the Canadian Media Guild. The CAJ Awards are the home of Canada's top investigative journalism prize, the Don McGillivray Award.
Winners will be announced as part of the awards banquet at the 2012 CAJ conference at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto, April 27-29.
"Journalists live for deadlines—including those for awards programs," CAJ president Hugo Rodrigues said. "One final reminder might be that little push you need to consider your best work from 2011 and submit it for consideration. Don't you deserve a chance to win?"
