TORONTO, May 15, 2019 /CNW/ - Retained executive search firm Caldwell (TSX: CWL) today announced a major enhancement to its recruiting capabilities across marketing and digital transformation with the addition of Carlos Cata as the managing partner of the firm's Chicago office. Carlos will focus across the Financial Services, Consumer, Marketing and Digital practices.
"For the past 25 years, Carlos has helped companies build brands and develop relevant customer strategies through emerging technologies in digital and analytics," said Paul Heller, co-managing partner of Caldwell's Financial Services Practice. "His extensive experience recruiting impactful senior leaders across industry sectors, especially with companies seeking transformational growth, will be invaluable to our clients."
"Carlos' clients are often seeking to leverage advanced technology (AI and machine learning) to drive relevant market and customer decisions," said Glenn Buggy, co-managing partner of Caldwell's Financial Services Practice. "His expertise across the breadth of commercial leadership functions for financial services, consumer, fintech, and PE-backed companies is going to be a real competitive advantage for us. We are delighted to be expanding our expertise across these critical areas within digital transformation."
Prior to joining Caldwell, Mr. Cata had a 14-year executive search career in which he led the Marketing and Sales practices at several other major search firms. Mr. Cata earned an MBA, with distinction, from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business, as well as a bachelor's degree in finance, magna cum laude, from Miami University of Ohio. Currently, he serves on the national board for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
"We continue to focus on enhancing our market presence and capabilities by making targeted, strategic additions of high caliber partners in key sectors and practices," said John Wallace, chief executive officer.
