Caledon Garage Sale Bigger Than Ever
TORONTO, April 14 /CNW/ - As part of its ongoing opposition to the proposed Rockfort Quarry application, The Coalition of Concerned Citizens is holding the 13th Annual Great Big Garage Sale on Saturday, April 24, 2010.
The largest annual fundraiser for the Coalition, monies raised from the event will be used to support the ongoing opposition to the negative environmental and community impacts of the proposed application currently before the Ontario Municipal Board.
"Every year the Sale gets bigger and better," stated Coalition President Penny Richardson. "The community is energized and everyone involved is invested in winning at the OMB."
The Sale takes place from 9 am to 4 pm at Someday Farm, 5192 Winston Churchill Boulevard, north of Olde Base Line Road. Highly anticipated by the community, this extravaganza features an overflowing arena of collectibles and a renowned silent auction. Over 140 volunteers help at the event that has grown to attract around 3,000 people.
Unsold items will be donated or recycled. Admission is $2 for adults. Children under 12 are free.
