Local winners win several top prizes, including a 2014 Ford Escape, $5000 vacation, free groceries for a year and free gas for a year
CALGARY, June 16, 2014 /CNW/ - Together all Western Canadian Co-op food stores, gas bars and convenience stores participated in the annual Fuel up to Win Contest. This eight-week promotion, which ran from February 28, 2014 to April 24, 2014, awarded a total of $7 million in prizes and discounts (up from $4.3 million in 2013).
"Fuel up to Win is a fun game to play and a great way for us to say thank you to the customers and members who regularly fuel up at our gas bars and shop at our food stores," said Ken Woo, interim chief executive officer at Calgary Co-op.
This year only one lucky winner would take home the 2014 Ford Escape (retail value $34,000) and this year's winner is Erica Kraft from Calgary, Alberta. Kraft was presented with her prize on May 11, 2014.
"I'm so very grateful for Calgary Co-op. I have never won anything in my life and winning this vehicle has come at such a wonderful time for our family," said Kraft, "I didn't think I would win when I entered online; however, I entered this contest as Co-op is a trusted company in my eyes. Thank you again Calgary Co-op."
