Calgary Co-op Announces 2013 Director Election Results
CALGARY, March 18, 2013 /CNW/ - The 56th Annual General Meeting of Calgary Co-operative Association Limited was held March 13, 2013, where the results of the election for its board of directors were announced. The successful candidates were Myra D'Souza Kormann, board member since 2009; Rick Smith, former board member, and Elaine Smith, a new member of the board. Each of the candidates elected will serve a three year term on the Calgary Co-op Board of Directors.
The board of directors also appointed its board officers for 2013-2014. Terry Geib was appointed Board Chair, Laura Sullivan was appointed Vice Chair and Peggy LeSueur was re-appointed Board Secretary. Also serving on the board of directors are Johanna Bates, Stuart Cantrill, Myra D'Souza Kormann, Elaine Smith, Rick Smith and Lisa Wise.
"The results of this year's director election provide the Board with a unique blend of experience and innovation," says Terry Geib, Board Chair. "We look forward to the contributions of our new and existing board members in the upcoming year."
Calgary Co-op board members, Roy Goodall and Randy Kott were not re-elected this term. "Roy and Randy were key members of the Board during their terms," says Geib. "Their dedication and experience will be missed."
