Calgary Co-op Association Limited announces results of 2014 director election
CALGARY, March 12, 2014 /CNW/ - Calgary Co-operative Association Limited ("Calgary Co-op") hosted its 57th Annual General Meeting ("AGM") on Monday, March 10, 2014. The results of this year's director election, which ran from February 1 – 28, were announced at the meeting. Board chair Terry Geib and board secretary Peggy LeSueur were both re-elected to the board of directors, each for a three year term. Roy Goodall was also elected to join the board for a three year term.
"There were several qualified candidates who ran in this year's election, each of them having achieved many successes in their professional lives and through public service," said Terry Geib, re-elected board member and previous board chair, "We're happy to have Roy back on board and look forward to celebrating many more successes with the organization."
A total of 14 candidates ran in Calgary Co-op's 2014 Director Election. Every year three board director positions become available and each board director serves a three year term. Calgary Co-op members receive ballots by mail at the end of January of every year and can cast one vote for up to three directors during each election period.
