TORONTO, Jan. 19, 2015 /CNW/ - Building on its tradition of honouring journalistic excellence, The Canadian Journalism Foundation (CJF) welcomes submissions for a new Innovation Award, in addition to its annual Excellence in Journalism Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award. The deadline is February 17, 2015.
"As journalism continues to evolve in unexpected ways, it is important that our awards reflect those changes as well," says Christopher Waddell, a member of the CJF Awards Committee and associate professor with Carleton University's School of Journalism and Communication. "And as we continue to face a challenging environment, it is crucial that we recognize the outstanding journalism, individuals and organizations that are models for what we do."
