Lay's® Do Us a Flavour celebrates cultural flavours from across the globe with Canada's favourite potato chips!
TORONTO, Feb. 25, 2016 /CNW/ - Back for its fourth year, The Lay's Do Us a Flavour campaign is taking Canadians on a flavour trip around the world. Inspired by recipes from across the globe, World Flavourites™ gives Canadian chip lovers the chance to bring their favourite international flavours home in a fun and accessible way: on their favourite potato chip!
There's a new spin for this year's Lay's Do Us A Flavour campaign: Lay's is asking Canadians to vote on 12 iconic international recipes to determine which three of these flavours will make it to Canadian grocery store shelves later this year. Flavours fall within three categories: Iconic Ingredients, Home Cooked Classics and Street Food. From Indian-inspired Magic Masala to Chinese Hot Pot and Ribs on the Bar-B inspired by far off Australia, Canadians will have plenty of delicious flavours to choose from. The full roster of flavours is:
- Iconic Ingredients: Magic Masala, Pico de Gallo, Paprika and Thai Sweet Chili
- Home Cooked Classics: Cheese & Onion Chicken & Waffles , Picanha Steak and Spicy Hot Pot
- Street Food: Bacon Poutine, Chicken Kebab, Fries with Joppiesaus and Ribs on the Bar-B
"Lay's is a well-loved global brand and we're passionate about celebrating cultural diversity and finding innovative ways to incorporate this into our product offerings," says Susan Irving, Senior Director of Marketing, PepsiCo Canada. "We know that Canadians have incredibly varied tastes and we're excited to bring them a global flavour experience in an easy and fun way."
Until March 20, 2016 Canadians can visit www.Lays.ca/Flavour to vote for their favourite flavour up to three times per day. The winning flavour from each category will be added to the Lay's portfolio in fall 2016 to give Canadians a chance to experience their favourite far-away flavours in the comfort of their home. In addition to getting the chance to try their flavours of choice, voters will have the opportunity to win one of five delicious daily prizes every day during the voting period!
Which flavours will win? Canadians will have to vote and stay tuned to find out! ! Visit www.Lays.ca/Flavour to learn more about the Lay's Do Us a Flavour World Flavourites™ program and for full details about the contest.
