Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam set to premiere on Family Channel Friday, September
3 - Day and date with the U.S. premiere on Disney Channel

TORONTO, May 6 /CNW/ - Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam, the highly anticipated sequel to last year's record-breaking Camp Rock, will make its Canadian television premiere on Astral Media's Family Channel on Friday, September 3 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, airing day and date with the U.S. premiere on Disney Channel.

Starring Demi Lovato, Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas, the Disney Channel Original Movie, Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam follows Mitchie, Jason, Shane, Nate and their friends as they return to Camp Rock. Hoping for another summer of music and fun, the friends soon learn that a new state-of-the-art music and performance camp, Camp Star, has opened across the lake. Luring away many of Camp Rock's instructors and campers, Camp Star places the future of Camp Rock in jeopardy.

When Luke Williams, Camp Star's hotshot performer, challenges Camp Rock to a musical showdown to see which camp has the stronger musical talent, everyone prepares for the ultimate battle of the bands. Meanwhile, in a classic "Romeo and Juliet" twist, Nate falls for Dana Turner, the daughter of the owner of the rival camp. R&B musician Matthew "Mdot" Finley stars as Luke Williams while noted classical pianist, Chloe Bridges joins the cast as Dana Turner.

Leading up to the Canadian premiere, viewers can catch the cast performing original songs from the movie, with a new music video premiering on select Friday evenings beginning May 7. The Road to Camp Rock 2, featuring short behind-the-scenes glimpses from the movie, including interviews with the cast, will continue to premiere throughout the summer on Family Channel.
