Canaccord Financial Inc. discloses transaction in own shares under normal course issuer bid/buy-back programme, cancellation of shares and total voting rights
TORONTO, Sept. 9, 2013 /CNW/ - Canaccord Financial Inc. (the "Company") (TSX: CF, LSE: CF.) wishes to announce that for the period from September 3, 2013, to September 6, 2013, it purchased 81,056 of its common shares through the facilities of the TSX and alternative trading systems pursuant to the normal course issuer bid (NCIB)/buy-back programme announced on August 8, 2013.
The highest and lowest daily average price paid for the purchased shares was $6.7837 and $6.5185 per common share respectively and the volume weighted average price per common share was $6.6744.
The company has so far purchased 251,056 common shares under the NCIB which authorizes it to purchase up to 5,136,948 of its common shares between August 13, 2013 and August 12, 2014. Of these shares, 85,800 have been cancelled effective as of August 31, 2013, and the remaining 165,256 will be held in treasury until they are cancelled within the next 60 days.
