Canaccord Wealth Management clients unaffected by IIROC data loss

TORONTO, April 12, 2013 /CNW/ - On April 11, 2013, the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) announced the accidental loss of a portable device that contained personal information relating to clients of a number of investment firms.

IIROC has informed Canaccord Wealth Management that Canaccord client information was not, to their knowledge, on the portable device that was lost. Canaccord Wealth Management therefore believes that its clients were not affected by this incident and that personal information relating to clients of Canaccord Wealth Management was NOT lost in this incident.
