Andi Cameron of Holland Landing Claims the Title of 2015 MONOPOLY Canadian Champion
TORONTO, May 4, 2015 /CNW/ - After 2 days of intense dice rolling and deal making, Andi Cameron of Holland Landing, Ontario proved her MONOPOLY might and was named the winner of the 2015 MONOPOLY Canadian Championships.
Defeating 47 other MONOPOLY enthusiasts, Andi Cameron rose to the top of the tournament that took place at the Design Exchange Facility in Toronto. Andi, the first Canadian female champion since 1975, wins the prestigious title of MONOPOLY Canadian Champion, $10,000, and the honour of representing Canada at the MONOPOLY World Championships, which will be held September 7-9, 2015 at The Venetian Hotel in Macao, China.
'It is an incredible honour to win the title of Canadian Champion and I am thrilled to represent Canada at the MONOPOLY World Championships,' said Andi. Andi is a hard working mom of two young children who enjoys spending time outdoors and crafting. This was her first time competing in a Canadian MONOPOLY Championship Tournament.

The tournament kicked off on May 1st with 48 finalists with varying MONOPOLY backgrounds and experiences representing provinces across the nation. Each player participated in 3 preliminary rounds and the four players with the highest points competed in the grand finals on May 2nd.
In celebration of the brand's 80th anniversary, the MONOPOLY World Championship will host players from around the world to compete for MONOPOLY glory and a prize of $20,580 USD – equivalent to the total amount of cash in a standard MONOPOLY game.
