Canada, It's Time for a Lifestyle Change: Ditch the Stress and Savour a Moment of Serenity with Loacker
Canadian Survey Reveals Busy Lifestyles and Stress Levels are Impeding Social Connections
MISSISSAUGA, ON, Aug. 22, 2018 /CNW/ - Stress has become routine for Canadians; it is a normal part of our daily lives. We have adopted the mentality that we need to fill our schedules to the brim and accept a busy, on-the-go lifestyle. Alternatively, taking time for yourself every day to relax and unwind should be at the top of Canadians' packed agendas.
A recent survey† conducted by Maru/Blue on behalf of Loacker, the Italian heritage brand specializing in premium wafer biscuits, reveals that Canadians' stress levels and busy schedules are negatively impacting their quality of life. In fact, nearly 60% of Canadians have less than 1 to 2 hours a day for themselves and more than 1 in 3 (65%) Canadians feel over-stressed at least a couple of times a week. Despite leading busy lives, 96% of Canadians recognize the importance of taking time for themselves to relax and yet can't find the time to do it – creating a disconnect.
With the busy back-to-school and holiday seasons on the horizon, Loacker is sharing the company's Italian mentality and encouraging Canadians to step out of their daily routines and Savour Serenity. "Our company is deeply rooted in the principle of family, so we recognize the importance of unwinding and sharing precious moments with loved ones," says Andreas Loacker, grandson of the company founder Alfons Loacker and responsible for research and development. "We want to share our cherished values with Canadians and encourage everyone to take the time needed to create and share special memories in the kitchen and at the dinner table. We crafted Loacker with the idea of making those special moments even more enjoyable."
Stressing Over Stress Levels
The Loacker survey† finds that Canadians are experiencing stress levels that impede a well-balanced lifestyle:
- 1 in 3 Canadians are unable to establish a balanced lifestyle due to their busy schedules.
- Women feel 14% more stressed than men do, with 72% of women feeling stressed at least a few times a week compared to 58% of men.
- 1 in 4 Canadians find their stress levels are unmanageable.
Loved Ones are Worth the Time
The Loacker survey† reveals that Canadians are putting off valuable time with loved ones because of their busy schedules:
- 1 in 5 Canadians would take the time to entertain guests if they had additional free time.
- More than half of Canadians would spend more time with loved ones if they weren't so busy.
- A third of Canadians would spending additional free time reconnecting with friends.
