, members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Federal Enforcement Section from Kitchener Detachment arrested a male in Bruce County area, under the authority of an arrest warrant issued under the Extradition Act. This Warrant was authorized by a Judge of the Superior Court of Justice on behalf of the
United States
of America.
Arrested was Francisco BELTRAN (42) who was indicted on
December 16th, 2008
, for 3 Counts of Wire Fraud in the state of Texas in the
United States
.
BELTRAN's presence in
Canada
was investigated and confirmed through the cooperative efforts of the RCMP, Saugeen Shores Police Service, and the
Canada
Border Services Agency. On
October 19th, 2009
, BELTRAN was located on Canadian soil, subsequently the Department of Justice obtained a Warrant for the arrest of BELTRAN, under the Extradition Act. The RCMP executed this warrant on BELTRAN without incident. He will be held in custody to face proceedings concerning his extradition to the
United States
.
