Canada's Banking Sector Affirms Commitment to Pay Equity with the Hon Patty Hajdu
TORONTO, Oct. 31, 2018 /CNW/ - This morning Neil Parmenter, President and CEO of the Canadian Bankers Association (CBA) and Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour, the Honourable Patty Hajdu reaffirmed the strong commitment of Canada's banks in favour of pay equity and the principle of equal pay for work of equal value.
Minister Hajdu welcomed the support of the CBA for the federal Pay Equity Act and met today with members of Canada's banking community. The Minister and business leaders discussed how pay equity will benefit business and the economy by moving the dial forward for women in the workplace and supporting growth that benefits everyone.
