RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF HEADINGLEY, MB, Feb. 12, 2019 /CNW/ - Canadians living in rural and northern communities have unique infrastructure needs. Access to better roads, modern Infrastructure, and faster, more reliable Internet services can make a big difference in the quality of life of rural Canadians.
This week, the Honourable Bernadette Jordan, Canada's Minister of Rural Economic Development, will visit communities across rural Manitoba to understand firsthand their specific needs. She will meet with residents and local leaders to learn about projects underway and the future needs of those communities.
On February 13th, Minister Jordan will begin by making an important infrastructure announcement in the Rural Municipality of Headingley, followed by another important infrastructure announcement in the community of Selkirk.
On February 14th, Minister Jordan will attend several community events in The Pas, and a roundtable discussion with prominent community figures.
On February 15th, Minister Jordan will participate in a roundtable meeting with the Association of Manitoba Municipalities in Portage La Prairie, followed by a tour of Portage La Prairie.
