Canada Safeway Reaches Tentative Agreement with British Columbia Clerks Union
VANCOUVER, April 5, 2013 /CNW/ - Canada Safeway yesterday reached a tentative agreement with United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Union Local 1518, covering approximately 6,600 company employees in British Columbia. The deal will be presented by Local 1518 for ratification by union members. In the meantime, details of the settlement are being withheld pending ratification.
The Company negotiates independently with UFCW Local 247 and the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union Local 468 which represent the remainder of BC retail employees.
