Canada's access to information and privacy guardians to issue a statement on access and privacy rights in the context of national security Français
OTTAWA, Oct. 28, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - Information and Privacy Ombudspersons and Commissioners from across Canada gathered in Ottawa for their annual meeting October 28th and 29th, 2014, will issue a joint statement on information and privacy rights in the context of national security.
The two-day session is an opportunity to discuss issues of provincial, territorial, and national importance related to their mandates as oversight agencies for access and privacy rights in Canada.
The joint statement will be issued on CNW and through the National Press Gallery at approximately 8 a.m. tomorrow morning.
The Ombudspersons and Commissioners will be available for media interviews on Wednesday, October 29th from 10 am to 10:30 am ET at the Chateau Laurier, 1 Rideau St (Salon L'Orangerie).
