TORONTO, Sept. 3, 2015 /CNW/ - As the world's filmmakers get set to invade Toronto for the 40th annual Toronto International Film Festival® (Sept. 10-20), Canada's #1 choice for entertainment news ETALK kicks off its 14th season with complete coverage of TIFF®, beginning Tuesday, Sept. 8. Canada's most-watched and most-trusted entertainment show returns and once again presents Canadian viewers with the best seats in the house. With a spotlight on homegrown presence throughout TIFF and Canadian filmmakers, ETALK is set to capture defining Canuck moments, as the team reports from various celebrity hotspots across Toronto during the 11-day festival. Located in the ETALK Sephora® Lounge throughout the duration of the festival, The Twitter Mirror delivers a unique perspective on TIFF excitement that allows stars to Tweet autographed selfies directly from the lounge, using the hashtag #etalkTIFF. ETALK will also live tweet each 7 p.m. ET broadcast on CTV every day of the festival, including the latest festival headlines and Instagram photos from red carpets, parties, and celebrity sightings. ETALK Ice Cream Truck
ETALK's branded ice cream truck is also back – helping festival goers keep cool with free ice cream. Stationed at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in downtown Toronto and other locations within the downtown core, ETALK is expected to hand out 15,000 ice cream cones to fans during the festival who follow and interact with ETALK over social media. Ice cream cone wrappers will also contain prize giveaways such as branded ETALK swag. Reaching 4.2 million viewers every week on CTV, ETALK is averaging 553,000 P2+ viewers this summer, 56% ahead of ET CANADA (354,000), and 10% ahead of ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT (505,000). ETALK's most-watched episode this summer brought in an overnight audience of 757,000 P2+ viewers on Aug. 4. The program's average weekly reach on CTV, CTV Two, and E! is 6.1 million viewers combined.
