Four courageous companions to be inducted into the Purina Animal Hall of Fame on May 7th
TORONTO, May 3, 2012 /CNW/ - Three heroic pets and one incredible K-9 will be recognized on Monday, May 7th for their life-saving efforts at the 44th annual Purina Animal Hall of Fame. All of these amazing animals have displayed extraordinary acts of courage, devotion, and an intuitive 6th sense for the safety of those around them, exemplifying the unique bond between animals and humans.
The induction ceremony will be held at PawsWay Event Centre, the permanent home of the Purina Animal Hall of Fame, at Toronto's Harbourfront.
Since 1968, the Purina Animal Hall of Fame has celebrated this special bond between pets and people, and true heroism shown by Canadian animals. In 2011, pets across the country carried out extraordinary feats of bravery, loyalty and compassion in order to save human lives. This year's Inductees have been carefully selected from hundreds of nominations across the country. Hosted by Ann Rohmer, the 2012 Purina Animal Hall of Fame Ceremony features presentations from special guests including Jeanne Beker, Tanya Kim and Councillor Denzil Minnan-Wong.
