Canada's Olympic Sweetheart visits Calgary
Joannie Rochette takes to the ice for a cause
CALGARY, Feb. 7, 2012 /CNW/ - Join celebrity Canadian Olympic figure skating medalist Joannie Rochette as she laces up her skates in support of children on February 20, 2012.
A World Vision child sponsor herself, Rochette is in Calgary for a Family Day meet-and-greet and skate-along with Calgary area supporters of the charity. Canada's Olympic sweetheart will treat the crowd to a two-minute solo performance.
The event is in support of Family Day 2012 and the World Vision Campaign for Children, which hopes to find sponsors for 4,000 children by the end of March.
