Canada's pension crisis subject of panel Oct 21/2009

HALIFAX , Oct. 19 /CNW/ - The assessment of seniors financial vulnerability is the subject of a special evening panel presented by CARP (Canadian Association of Retired Persons), Wednesday October 21st . at the Atlantica Hotel (formerly The Holiday Inn at Quinpool and Robie). Presented by CARP's N.S. Chapter, the panel includes two outstanding experts, Bill Black , who recently chaired Nova Scotia Pension Review Panel and CARP's national V.P. of Advocacy, Susan Eng . Moderator and coordinator of the panel is Bernie Miller , CARP's Nova Scotia's Financial Chair.

The panel will guide the audience through the current issues relating to the pensions plans that have experienced serious set backs during the past two years of recession---the situation has become a crisis in Canada .
