Canada's Top Chef Carl Heinrich makes encore appearance at Hockley Valley Resort

Celebrated chef plans special menu as guest chef for exclusive culinary event at 'cabin'

TORONTO, June 21, 2012 /CNW/ - On July 13 Hockley Valley Resort is partnering with Top Chef Canada winner Carl Heinrich for a one-time, exclusive dining experience in the resort's signature restaurant, cabin. The iconic hotel and leading culinary destination recently served as the site of Chef Heinrich's win on the second season of Top Chef Canada.

"Hockley Valley Resort shares my culinary vision of honest, ingredient-driven local and regional fare," said Chef Heinrich. "I'm thrilled to have the chance to return to Hockley Valley to create a truly memorable dining experience."

The invitation to return to Hockley Valley Resort came from John Paul Adamo, Hockley's President and Owner, who served as one of the judges on Top Chef Canada. On July 13, Chef Heinrich will develop and create a four-course tasting menu reminiscent of his Top Chef Canada final challenge win, including smoked trout, local game, a delicate sorbet, and a seasonal cobbler, complete with wine pairings from Niagara Peninsula's Malivoire Wine. Guests are also invited to an exclusive pre-dinner reception featuring house-made charcuterie and artisanal cheese.
