LONDON, ON, July 27, 2017 /CNW/ - The STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® Series has partnered with London Ribfest to hold its 2017 Canadian Championship event, where more than 30 of Canada's top professional TIMBERSPORTS athletes will chop and saw their way toward the title of Canadian Champion. About the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series:
The STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series is established worldwide as the major league of logger sports, with a massive global fan-base following competitive events – live and on TV. The sport originated in Canada, the USA and New Zealand, where loggers held local competitions to determine the best of their profession. Over time, these tests of strength and skill have evolved to a professional level. In 1985, the first STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series Championships was held in the USA.
In Canada, STIHL TIMBERSPORTS has consistently grown from a niche sport to a National Tour with competitions across the country.
