EDMONTON, April 27, 2018 /CNW/ - Established in 2015 by founding partners Dashvapes.com and Vapemeet.ca, the show has become a staple in vaping communities across Canada. In addition to past shows in Edmonton, CVE has held exhibitions in Montreal, Ottawa & Toronto
The growth of the Canadian Vaping industry has surpassed expectations. What was once considered a "home-based business" has evolved into a world-class industry with voluntary standards that are equal to those found in manufacturing sectors. Consumer attendance is expected to be high, as 2017-2018 has seen a steady increase of former smokers choosing vaping over traditional combustible cigarettes
Alberta is home to many eLiquid manufacturers. Edmonton based business River City Vapes, CEO Shawn Kreeger is one of the company's presenting this year event. "When we first opened our doors in 2013, we were not sure what to expect. Since then we have seen more and more smokers using vaping as their choice to become smoke-free. The amount of jobs this industry has created in Edmonton is incredible. Vaping has made an impact on our local economy, and with CVE returning to Edmonton, it is a testament to how many former smokers credit vaping for helping them remove combustibles from their lives for good. "
CVE Co-founder and Vice President of the CVA, Charlie Pisano says "The team is excited to bring the show back to Edmonton. It is amazing to see how the industry is experiencing continuous growth and maturity. We are proud of the impact CVE has made in ensuring that vendors meet a set of standards that exceed current proposed federal regulations."
The CVE board has been advocating for proper and fair regulations, not only as a company but personally as well. Advocacy is an essential component of each event. Two of the largest advocacy organizations in the industry will also be in attendance: The Canadian Vaping Association (CVA) and The Electronic Cigarette Trade Association (ECTA), Both groups have presented at government hearings advocating fair regulations to not only preserve the growth of the industry but also to provide consumers with access to safe vaping products.
The event is open to everyone aged 18 and up who are interested in vaping or exploring it as a choice for themselves.
