Canada's Women's National Soccer Team Kicks it Up for Girls' Rights with Toronto Girls Soccer Team

TORONTO, June 1, 2012 /CNW/ - Members of Canada's Women's National Soccer Team and Toronto's U13 girls soccer team enjoy a fun practice in Toronto today. Wearing Because I am a Girl pink headbands and shoelaces, the teams demonstrate their support for girls' rights around the world, including girls' equal access to sports in developing countries. Leading up to their games at the London 2012 Summer Olympics, members of Canada's Women's National Soccer Team took time out to visit with U13, a local girls soccer team, in Toronto. Both teams wore Because I am a Girl pink headbands and shoelaces to demonstrate their support for girls' rights around the world.
