Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries Welcomes New Progress on a Defence Procurement Strategy for Canada

OTTAWA, Sept. 24, 2012 /CNW/ - The Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries (CADSI) welcomes the federal government's continued progress towards a more strategic way of conducting defence procurement, as reported by Steven Chase of the Globe and Mail.

CADSI is a strong proponent of a Defence Procurement Strategy for Canada that will ensure Canadian troops get the right equipment they need while creating high-value jobs in Canada and building domestic industrial capability and capacity for the future. CADSI's recommendations for a Defence Procurement Strategy would also serve to strengthen Canadian security and sovereignty, while ensuring better outcomes and greater efficiencies in the procurement process.
