CALGARY, Nov. 10, 2014 /CNW/ - The winners of the prestigious Silver Leaf Awards for outstanding work in communication management and skills have been announced by the Canadian Western and Eastern Regions of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).
More than 140 entries were received from across Canada in a variety of categories including brand communications, internal communications, writing, and issues management. Forty entries will be honoured with a Silver Leaf. Twenty will receive the Award of Excellence and twenty the Award of Merit.
"We are proud of the high quality work these Canadian communicators have accomplished in order to meet the challenging Silver Leaf international judging standards," says Lisa Brake, Silver Leaf Team Lead and Co-Director for National Programs for IABC Canada West Region. "The role of strategic communications is increasingly critical as our profession adapts to evolving communication tools and audiences who are overloaded with information. Our award winners have demonstrated their ability to meet these challenges and address the communication and business needs of the organizations they represent through top-notch communications planning and execution."
The complete winners list is available on the IABC Canada website.
The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) recognizes excellence in organizational communications at the international, national and chapter levels.
