Canadian Company Combines its own Technology with Equipment Promoted by Kevin
Costner to Assist with Gulf Recovery Efforts
CALGARY, Aug. 4 /CNW/ - CCS Corporation, an environmental solutions company with operations in Canada and the U.S., has been deployed to assist with oil spill recovery efforts along the Louisiana Coast. CCS has deployed its unique ConSep System which separates oil from water through a series of process tanks and separation technologies, leaving the water suitable for return to the Gulf. This proprietary technology includes a centrifuge system manufactured by Ocean Therapy Solutions (OTS) and promoted by Kevin Costner.
"By combining the centrifuge with our proprietary systems and extensive operating experience, we have been approved for deployment with the oil spill recovery efforts," said Phil Vogel, President, CCS Corporation U.S. "We have been operating this technology for over 10 years and we believe with our technology and expertise we can assist with the recovery efforts along the coast."
BP has agreed to deploy 32 OTS units, all of which will be operated by CCS personnel, in partnership with OTS. CCS has already deployed 7 of its own units to assist with the recovery effort, and we are also deploying other equipment which will aid in the de-oiling of impacted waters such as backwashable water polishing filters.
