Methodology
Consumer Brand Metrics is a brand performance study that is run on an ongoing basis, tracking the performance of Canada's leading limited-service and full-service restaurant chains. Consumer experience is measured on more than 60 brand attributes, and 16,800 Canadian consumer visits are recorded annually. Winners are based on top-two box ratings, or ratings of 4 or 5 in a 5-point scale; top-box ratings were used for ties and other purposes. Data from four quarters, second-quarter 2013 through first-quarter 2014 was analyzed.
