Canadian Dentists select DDB Canada to create public education campaign
Vancouver office to develop integrated program to reinforce benefits of good dental health
VANCOUVER, Sept. 22 /CNW/ - The Canadian Dental Association (CDA) and Provincial Dental Associations have hired DDB Canada's Vancouver office to develop a national awareness campaign to help Canadians understand the importance of regular dental exams to their overall health.
"Our collective goal is to have the public recognize the important role that dentists play in their healthcare," says Andrew Jones, director of public affairs, Canadian Dental Association. "More patients need to understand the importance of the dental exam and how the diagnosis and treatment advice from their dentist relates to their overall health."
DDB Canada starts work immediately developing an integrated campaign, which includes TV, radio, print, out of home, digital and online executions. The campaign is scheduled to launch in 2011.
"Regular dental exams should be an integral component of a family's proactive healthcare program, says Patty Jones, director of client services, DDB Canada. "Dental exams are an important component of ensuring overall health, and are valuable in monitoring oral health in relation to some major chronic diseases."
DDB Canada was selected after a comprehensive and competitive pitch process that took place earlier this summer.
