CALGARY, June 1 /CNW/ - Calgary dermatologists are inviting members of the public to free skin cancer screening and sun awareness event at Eau Claire Market's Centre Court, on Friday June 4, 2010, from 10 am to 1 pm.
The event, hosted by the Canadian Dermatology Association (CDA), happens just prior to National Sun Awareness Week, June 7 - 13, 2010.
This year's focus is photoaging - premature skin aging caused by repeated sun exposure. Photoaging raises the risk of skin cancer. As well as screening for skin cancer, local dermatologists will show participants hidden sun damage using a skin scope.
