Canadian Dermatology Association: Edmonton dermatologists offer free skin
cancer screenings at sun awareness event, Edmonton City Centre, Tuesday June

EDMONTON, June 4 /CNW/ - Edmonton dermatologists are inviting members of the public to a free skin cancer screening and sun awareness event at Edmonton City Centre on Tuesday June 8, 2010, from 11 am to 2 pm.
The event, hosted by the Canadian Dermatology Association, happens at the start of National Sun Awareness Week, June 7 - 13, 2010.
This year's focus is photoaging - premature skin aging caused by repeated sun exposure. Photoaging raises the risk of skin cancer. As well as checking for skin cancer, local dermatologists will show participants hidden sun damage using a skin scope.
