Canadian Dermatology Association: Free, public skin cancer screening and sun
awareness event, Nathan Phillips Square, Toronto, Friday June 11, 2010
TORONTO, June 9 /CNW/ - The public is invited to a free skin cancer screening and sun awareness event at Nathan Phillips Square, Toronto, on Friday June 11, 2010, from 11 am to 2 pm.
The event, hosted by the Canadian Dermatology Association, happens during National Sun Awareness Week, June 7 - 13, 2010.
This year's focus is photoaging - skin changes caused by repeated sun exposure. Photoaging raises the risk of skin cancer. As well as checking for skin cancer, dermatologists will show participants hidden sun damage using a skin scope.
