Canadian Forces cultural heritage in the spotlight
MONTREAL, Aug. 31, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - 34 Canadian Brigade Group (34 CBG) is glad to announce the participation of the Canadian Forces in the Montreal Military Culture Festival being held this weekend in the Old Port of Montreal.
From August 31ST until September 3rd, local military personnel will take part in this festival. The Canadian Forces will offer Montrealers the opportunity to enjoy live military music, climb inside a CF-18 and a CT-114 (Snowbird) cockpit, ride aboard Royal Canadian Navy Rigid hull inflatable boats, watch the Canadian Forces Parachute team the SkyHawks execute a precision jump and experience the thrill of a low level CF-18 fly-by.
Reservists of 34 CBG come from all walks of life. These are, above all, citizens who have chosen to proudly serve in the Canadian Forces and to devote several hours per week and weeks per year of service with the Canadian Army Reserve and for their country.
The 34 CBG is a formation of units of the Reserve Force of the Canadian Army. The brigade consists of 14 units, eight of which are located on the Island of Montreal including armored units, artillery, engineering and infantry.
