CFA marks milestone by shining a spotlight on member success stories from across Canada
TORONTO, Jan. 11, 2017 /CNW/ - This year, the Canadian Franchise Association (CFA) is celebrating 50 years as the authoritative voice of franchising in Canada. To mark this significant milestone, and to raise awareness about the importance of franchising in Canada, CFA will be sharing 50 member success stories throughout 2017.
CFA's 50 Years of Canadian Franchising campaign will focus on entrepreneurs who have grown their businesses using the franchise business model, as well as Canadians who have achieved their dreams of business ownership by becoming franchisees. Stories will highlight the positive impact these business owners have on their communities by creating jobs, generating revenue, and giving back to local charities. Stories will be posted online at www.cfa.ca/50-Years, published in CFA's FranchiseCanada magazine, and shared via social media using #CFA50.
"For 50 years, CFA has been committed to protecting and enhancing the franchise business model in Canada and empowering Canadians to achieve their goals of business ownership and growth," says CFA's President and CEO Lorraine McLachlan. "Our position of authority stems from the dedication and expertise of our members, so what better way to mark this milestone than to celebrate their achievements!"
CFA was founded in 1967, when a group of franchise business owners recognized the need for a national umbrella organization committed to the growth, enhancement, promotion, and protection of franchising across the country. Today, CFA has grown to more than 600 corporate members nationwide, including some of Canada's best-known brands. As the recognized authority on franchising in Canada, CFA is the country's only national trade association serving the Canadian franchise industry and the needs of franchisors, franchisees, and anyone considering franchise opportunities.
